Message to Our Valued Customers

To our Valued Customers,

In a growing global economy all of our valued customers need to have the ability, when new markets open, wherever it is in the world, to know that the materials they utilize and the products they sell are safe for humans and the environment.

For environmental and health reasons many countries have established standards on the content of restricted materials in products that can be sold.  These restricted materials range from heavy metals to pesticides.  Some leathers can significantly contribute to the content of restricted chemicals and materials.

At the Irving Leather Group we produce our leather with those needs in mind.  We start with proper raw material and use only line processes that do not contribute to these restricted materials.  In fact, lab analyses show that our leathers do not even contain measurable amounts of most of these restricted materials.

The Irving Leather Group produces leathers of extremely high quality that we believe can meet both your fashion needs and the environmental and human health standards that are required globally.   Furthermore, we at Irving feel that we must achieve these high standards, as it is simply the right thing to do.  We at Irving call it responsible stewardship.

If you have any specific questions about our leathers or the global standards used in producing them, please don't hesitate to contact us.  We encourage you to visit us at our tannery and corporate offices in Hartland, Maine, USA, to view our environmental policies at work.
